Zach started CrossFit in 2017 when his wife forced him to come to a class finally after 3 months of begging. After doing his first CrossFit workout, where he scaled below 50% of the RX weight and still died, he realized this was how to get back into shape. Â

Zach is a big believer in using CrossFit outside of the sport aspect. The goal is to be able to sit at your grandkids Little Tykes table for a fake cup of coffee at 85, and to be able to squat and stand back up on your own. CrossFit should be fun first and foremost, and you should be excited to go to your gym every single day.

Zach loves to spend time with his wife, Angie, wine tasting, traveling, and working out. Zach also enjoys anything to do with baseball, slow pitch softball, and watching football. Zach has three children, Lydia, Brooks, and Nate. Zach is a NIU Baseball Alum (04') and he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 2004 and spent a few years in their system.
